About the fund
The Pink Fund is a discretionary fund established to support local groups working with young people and adults with learning disabilities across the Hambleton and Richmondshire areas.
Funds are raised throughout the year by learners, clients and members attending the Personalised Learning College (Northallerton hub), Northdale, ABLE and Let's Go Out @ Northdale.
Fundraising activities include raffles, performances, and a range of other community events.
What makes The Pink Fund unique is that the learners, clients and members themselves decide how the money is shared. Through a voting process, they choose which good causes will receive support, giving young people and vulnerable adults the opportunity to directly support the services and communities they care about.
Funds are normally distributed twice a year, subject to availability, in June and December.
The fund commemorates the life and work of Anne Baker.
