Supporting our Day Services
The support provided by our Day Services volunteers is a key part of our daily work.
Volunteers support adults with learning disabilities so that individuals can take part in all of our activities.
Volunteers work with individuals or in small groups and are always supported by a member of the Northdale team. Volunteers typically work a few hours or a day or two per week.
We support volunteers with a range of training including Safeguarding Alerter, Makaton Level 1 and Epilepsy Awareness.
If you're interested in volunteering please send us a message below or complete our Volunteer Application Form.
Prior to completing the volunteer application form please read our Volunteer Policy and Role Description and Volunteer Code of Conduct documents. Please return your completed volunteer application form to [email protected] or Northdale, Yafforth Road, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL7 0LQ.
General support
We always need volunteers to help with the general running of our services.
Volunteers get involved in a wide range of activities including helping maintain our Northdale, Northallerton site and helping in our Garden Nursery and Gift Shop.
You can volunteer on an individual basis or come as a group e.g. businesses / organisations, faith groups and schools.
If you're interested in volunteering please send us a message below or contact Charles Allen ([email protected] or 07830 374551) to discuss how you would like to get involved.
