The Orchard House

Northdale would like to create a new space within our small community orchard—an area of peace, nature, and inclusion. We have identified a quiet and picturesque spot where we plan to erect a timber-framed building called The Orchard House. This space will provide a safe, calming environment designed specifically for adults with learning disabilities.

The Orchard House will offer a variety of activities that promote social interaction, creativity, and emotional well-being. Adults will be able to use the space to socialise, play games, enjoy sensory experiences, and participate in a wide range of creative activities such as art, music, and crafts, all within the natural surroundings of the orchard.

Importantly, this space will be especially valuable for adults with Autism, who can find the noise and pace of mainstream activities overwhelming. The Orchard House will offer a calming retreat, where individuals can regulate, recharge, and feel included in a way that supports their needs and preferences.

We hope The Orchard House will enhance the overall quality of life for adults with learning disabilities—supporting their well-being and empowering them to thrive.

The total cost of the project will b in the region of £6,000.00 so any support you can give to help us create this lovely space for our clients would be gratefully received.

Northdale Horticulture is registered in England and Wales under charity number 1142535, and company number 07512291 at Yafforth Road, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL7 0LQ.
