Northdale has been designed to support small groups of vulnerable adults in a range of group care settings, with each work group focused on different vocational disciplines.

What your client can expect

Within each work group setting, a client can expect to work under the direction and guidance of a work team supervisor who will guide the client through their working day. For some of our clients Northdale provides an opportunity to develop the social and work-based skills that will help them make the very best of their lives in the wider community, while for others Northdale provides a stable supportive environment in which to take part in meaningful daytime activities.

Holistic support

In addition to work-based and social activities, Northdale also takes a proactive interest in the wider wellbeing of its clients and carers by regularly signposting people to additional support services. Healthcare professionals tell us that they also value being able to access their clients and carers in an informal setting for reviews and meetings.

So much more than work

In addition to developing a wide range of work-based skills, clients can expect to have ample opportunities to socialise with friends and acquaintances, take part in our regular walking group activities and access a wide range of extra-curricular social activities. Above all, the client can feel they are making an active and valued contribution to their community.

Funding

Northdale is on the North Yorkshire County Council preferred provider list, with eligible clients being able to access the service via a personal independence payment. If a client has direct payment or is self-funding, Northdale can invoice the client directly for services on a monthly basis.

Northdale Horticulture is registered in England and Wales under charity number 1142535, and company number 07512291 at Yafforth Road, Northallerton, North Yorkshire DL7 0LQ.
